Europe’s air traffic control centre said 16,000 flights were cancelled on Friday because of the “unprecedented” situation and more would follow, while one airline grounded all its planes in the affected area until Monday. Google: a new signal in search ranking algorithms!

You may have heard that here at Google we’re obsessed with speed, in our products and on the web. As part of that effort, today we’re including a new signal in our search ranking algorithms: site speed. Site speed reflects how quickly a website responds to web requests. The government already had placed Bangkok under the strict Internal Security Act. But a state of emergency includes more sweeping powers. […]

The 10 most surprising things about the iPad

1. It screams The early reviews all said that the iPad was “wicked fast,” and boy, they weren’t kidding. Applications literally fly open, and browsing the Web on Safari is way faster than on the iPhone. I could get used to this. 2. It’s heavier than I thought it would be One-and-a-half pounds sounds pretty light, especially when you consider that the flyweight MacBook Air weighs in at about 3.5 pounds. That said, the iPad felt surprisingly heavy the first […]

Manchester United 1 Chelsea 2

I was slightly disappointed when I checked my mobile phone for the score between Man U and Chelsea. Chelsea was leading 1-0 through Joe Cole then. I wanted to rush home straightaway to support my team. I didnt know it was an early kickoff. When I reached home, turned on the tele, within like 20 mins, they went 2-0 up thanks to an obvious offside goal by Drogba. What was the referee thinking? That could potentially turned the entire season […]
